Join us as we continue to spread awareness for Breast Cancer and the importance of annual screenings.

They say there are 6 degrees of separation with most things, but when it comes to Breast Cancer it seems like there is 1 degree or less. We all know someone that has been diagnosed, fought the battle and hopefully won. Most of us also mourn someone that last a courageous battle with Breast Cancer.

There are many groups out there that provide something as a form of comfort for those diagnosed and going through treatments. We were introduced to a group in our area that provides “blessing boxes”. A blessing box includes a drain shirt, a mastectomy pillow as well as additional pillows, and extra surprises that are small gifts donated by previous recipients. An average box costs $30 and currently costs an additional $13 to ship. Items in the boxes are generously donated and made with love. The shipping however is a HARD COST.

For our October awareness project we are going to honor the community of those who have or have had Breast Cancer. Purchase a quilted heart to be displayed in our front window through-out the month of October. In Honor of or In Memory of (insert name here). We are asking for a minimum donation of $15 for each heart. 100% of the proceeds will go the Blessing Box Project to directly offset shipping costs. We Honor our very own Michelle Lavender by giving back to the Blessing Box Project, she received a blessing box this spring. God’s Grace allows us to say she fought this battle and WON!!!!
