My friend Ronda, took a class with Claudia Dinnell and made an adorable machine embroidered quilt. She brought it to me to quilt and as yesterday was our first cold front it just felt right to work on this quilt.
She has given me permission to post photos before she even sees her quilt – she wants a sneak peek too! To learn more about Ronda’s quilt and her other adventures be sure to visit her blog at andsewitbegan.com
There are 4 of these units in the quilt. I outlined pretty much every sprig of evergreen. That was tedious! But I did enjoy quilting the background fill. These corners allow the medallion in the center to placed “on point”, she then added a skinny charcoal border and then added another machine embroidered border that tells the story of the night before Christmas. The final finishing border is geese in the corners and a beautiful Christmas print. This one makes me want to start singing “Up on the housetop” Did you just say click click click? The overall quilt is very delightfulThe back is pretty busy, but I think you can see some of the quilting
I hope Ronda’s precious quilt helps you get in the spirit!
yea, I love it and I really like how you made the center look like it has snow flurries!
